The Story of a Successful Pianist

Serena was studying in an international primary school.  She was an ordinary but hardworking girl.  However, there was one thing which made her different from others.  She had got only four fingers on her left hand.

At the age of eight, Serena watched a music concert. While she was listening to the piano playing, she fell in love with the music.  Surprisingly, when Maria, who was the performer, stood up and bowed to the audience, Serena discovered that Maria shared the same problem with her – She’d also got four fingers on her left hand.

After the concert, Serena decided to learn the piano.  Her parents saw her determination and supported her.  However, some of her classmates laughed at her and said, “Don’t be silly! How can you learn to play the piano?  You miss one finger and you’ll never play well! It’s better to throw the money into the sea…hahaha”

In the school, Chloe was Serena’s best friend. After knowing that Serena wanted to learn the piano, she showed her great support. “Don’t be frustrated!  Just forget what people say.  I’m always on your side!” Chloe said.

Serena was encouraged by Chloe and started her piano lessons at once.  She practiced very hard and spent over 4 hours in practicing the piano every day. She made quick improvement in the playing skills.

After a few years, Serena attended an international music competition and she was the champion.  This shocked many people at that time because of her physical imperfection.

After many years, Serena became a successful pianist in the world and many people appreciated her talents and perseverance. She became the encouragement of many handicapped people.

A Camping Day with my Family

I went camping with my family for five days last week.  There were three days which I found the most enjoyable.

On the first day, we went barbequing at a BBQ site.  We sat around a BBQ pit and grilled the food together.  We chatted happily and shared the food with one another.

On the second day, we played some group games such as hide and seek and rope jumping. We also invited some kids to join us.  It was an exciting day and we met some new friends.

A Speech about my Birthday Gift

Today, I am going to tell you the birthday gift that my mother gave me last year.  Do you know what it was?  It was a teddy bear which was large, brown and fluffy.  I like it very much because it is cute and I can hold it every night when I am sleeping.  It is very warm and comfortable.  I hope it can accompany me till I grow up.

A Shocking Experience

Last Saturday, Lisa and Mike were bored.  There was a very old house near them where nobody lived.  Mike asked Lisa if she wanted to go and see it.  Lisa agreed.

Soon, they reached the house.  Lisa was frightened and screamed loudly, ‘Wow! It looks scary!’ Mike pushed her to enter the house.  He said, ‘Come on! It isn’t scary at all!”

Suddenly, Lisa felt a strange hand on her shoulder.  Lisa wondered if that was Mike’s hand. Mike replied that it’s not his. Lisa was shocked.

Immediately, John, who was their friend, removed his mask and laughed, ‘Haha, it’s me! Don’t you know that it’s Halloween today?’
